Baauer gets gritty on new unreleased production, ‘Paauer’
Posted on 13 October 2016
No one man should have all that “Paauer.”
Who’s to say how much finished firepower Baauer has stocked in his arsenal? Following the release of his acclaimed debut LP, Aa in March, Harry Rodrigues has wasted no time in teasing out additional new music. During most of 2015 and into the early part of this year, he spent most of his time off the dance music grid in preparation for his debut album, so it comes as no surprise that Baauer has a cache of fresh new material still waiting to be played out. The latest piece to materialize is “Paauer,” a gritty hybrid of drum n’ bass elements and trap components that create a polished, heavy grime product. And despite the unreleased track’s tongue-in-cheek title, it still packs an unapologetic punch from the LuckyMe proponent.
Taking to his new Studio B slot on Beats 1’s airwaves, the new show allows Baauer, famously consumed by his wanderlust, to spotlight different regions across the globe that are producing the most alluring new sounds. It also gives him an exclusive platform to debut new material, meaning that fans should expect new Baauer tunes to continue to come out of the woodwork.
