Nicki Minaj’s ABC Show Postponed
Posted on 18 October 2016
Nicki Minaj has revealed that her ABC Family show “Nicki” has been postponed. Revealed last year, “Nicki” was set to star Ariana Vale (Fruitvale Station) and be based on Minaj’s early life before stardom. “A lot of things were happening at the same time, and creatively we wanted to make some changes with the pilot,” Minaj told the Breakfast Club during an interview earlier this morning. “We’re taking our time—everyone involved wants it to be perfect and I felt like there were other things that needed to be figured out first.” A premiere date for the series has not been set.
Elsewhere in the interview, Minaj re-affirmed her admiration of rising Brooklyn rapper Young M.A., and also showed support for Dej Loaf and Lil Uzi Vert. She’s also got a song with Fetty Wap “that’s gonna come out soon.” Listen to the full interview below.
