Watch Fred Armisen, Bill Hader, and Maya Rudolph’s Talking Heads “Documentary Now” Parody Band Play a Song

Each week, Fred Armisen and Bill Hader parody a different documentary film on their IFC series “Documentary Now!” On this week’s episode, which airs Wednesday, October 12 at 10 p.m. Eastern, they will satirize Jonathan Demme’s 1984 Talking Heads documentary Stop Making Sense. The episode is called “Final Transmission,” and, as previously reported, it follows a band called Test Pattern during their final concert. Below, watch a clip from the episode, which shows the band performing a song called “Too Much Information.” Hader takes lead vocals on the song, while Armisen plays guitars, and Maya Rudolph is on keys.

Earlier this year, Armisen and Hader debuted Test Pattern during an appearance on “Late Night With Seth Meyers.” On the program, they performed a song called “Art + Student = Poor” with Arcade Fire’s Jeremy Gara.

In 2015, Armisen and Hader released their debut EP as Blue Jean Committee: Catalina Breeze. The band began as a fake soft rock band that was the subject of a “Documentary Now” episode.
